Day Camp

3-week day camp sessions including parkour, NERF, and Ninja Warrior activities. For ages 6 to 14, no experience required!

Day Camp: 3-Week Sessions

We are shifting from our normal flexible daily/weekly camp schedule to three 3-week sessions of up to 12 campers each. Each camper will need to be signed up for the entire 3-week session.

The camp schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 3 PM, with drop-off available beginning at 8:45 AM.

Session 1: June 8 - June 26 (FULL)
Session 2: June 29 - July 17
Session 3: July 20 - August 7

IMPORTANT: Update Your Waiver

We have revised our waiver form to include coronavirus information. All students attending in-person events will need an updated waiver form filled out by a parent or legal guardian.

Day Camp Themes & Activities

All three weeks of each session will include parkour instruction and movement games, but each week has an individual focus – Week 1: Parkour, Week 2: Nerf, Week 3: Ninja Warrior! Campers are not required to participate in any activities they aren’t comfortable with, but are encouraged to try new activities and will often be given limited options if they’d like to differ from what is planned. Arts/crafts or spectating/helping with the game will always be options for campers who have certain activities they prefer not to join.

Some of our usual activities will look different than normal! Foam pit usage will be modified or restricted (more details to come). Games will be modified to avoid close contact between participants. We will also include more outdoor activities and keep the doors open as much as possible for maximum ventilation.

Week 3: Ninja Warrior

Day Camp Procedures

There will be some big changes from our normal camp procedures! Please review the following carefully.

HEALTH NOTICE

Please do not bring your child to Flying Frog if any member of your household, including your child, has a fever, cough or shortness of breath in the last 24 hours or if the child has contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus in the last two weeks. If your child starts to show these symptoms at Flying Frog, you will be contacted and must pick your child up immediately.Β

The purpose of the 3-week session is to minimize risk by creating a stable group of both campers and staff members.Β With that goal in mind, we ask that campers do not attend another camp or group child care program simultaneously (for example, alternating days with another camp, or attending a group child care program after camp hours). We also strongly encourage households with multiple children to consider enrolling their children in the same camp.

Please note that according to CDC and county guidance, campers and camp staff within the stable group of 12 are not required to maintain a 6 foot distance from each other at all times.Β That said, we have taken steps to reduce the risk of transmission by wearing masks, eating lunch and snacks outdoors, and modifying games and activities to allow for more distancing and less sharing of equipment.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP AT YOUR VEHICLE

Drop-off and pick-up will take place outside of the building, at your vehicle. This will occur one household at a time and sometimes there may be a small wait. Parents, guardians, and other household members will not be able to enter the building at drop-off or pick-up.

We will ask health screening questions at drop-off before admitting your child to camp, and may take your child’s temperature using a touchless thermometer.

According to CDC guidelines, ideally the same parent or designated person should drop off and pick up the child every day. If possible, older people such as grandparents or those with serious underlying medical conditions should not pick up children, because they are more at risk for severe illness from COVID-19.

LUNCH & SNACKS BROUGHT FROM HOME

Lunch AND snacks must be brought from home – we will not be providing food, juice, etc. We will have our usual 15 minute breaks in the morning and afternoon where campers can eat snacks brought from home, and a 30 minute break for campers to eat their lunch brought from home. We will remind them not to eat their whole lunch during morning snack!Β

Our drinking fountain will be closed, but our water bottle refilling station will remain open! Campers should bring their own water bottle and will be able to refill it.Β

MASKS

All Flying Frog staff members will wear cloth masks while working.

All campers are required to have cloth masks but will not always be required to wear them. Certain activities will allow for mask removal while others will require wearing it. We understand that being physically active with a mask on can be uncomfortable, so we will have a designated area where students can take a break during activities and take their mask off.Β

We suggest helping your camper practice putting on and removing their mask, so that they will be more comfortable with it during camp!

HAND WASHING, CLEANING, & SANITIZING

Campers and staff will wash their hands before and after each activity. Flying Frog staff will be cleaning and sanitizing surfaces used for camp activities while the campers are at morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and at the end of the day.Β

Campers will have a cubby labeled with their name where they can store their lunchbox and personal belongings. During NERF week, each camper will be assigned a NERF blaster and safety glasses which they will also store in their cubby.Β

WHAT TO BRING

A waterbottle – our drinking fountain will be closed, but our water bottle refill station will be available!

A lunch, plus snacks for morning and afternoon snack time.

Clothes that are comfortable to move around in! It may be a little chilly in the morning but the gym will get toasty in the afternoon, and we will have the roll-up doors open all day for ventilation.Β

Athletic shoes, preferably with rubbery grip on the bottom! Campers often go barefoot in the gym, but we will be spending time outside in our paved parking lot (with access gates closed) this summer, so campers will NEED athletic shoes!

Sun protection – sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses. We ask that your camper arrive at camp wearing sunscreen already, and Flying Frog staff will have spray sunscreen to reapply. If your camper has allergies or sensitivities to ingredients found in sunscreen, please send them with their own sunscreen labeled with their name!
